THE FACULTY ADVISOR: Dr. David DeBoskey
The faculty advisor is the guiding force behind
the chapter. In addition to providing counsel and assistance to the
chapter, he serves as a liaison between the chapter and the national
chapter as well as between the chapter and the various administrative
units of SDSU. He is also there to make sure the chapter follows the
national and chapter bylaws. You may wish to contact him if you have any
confidential issues that you do not feel comfortable discussing with a
student officer.
THE PRESIDENT-ELECT:
Jezer Balangcod
The president-elect's responsibilities include
assisting the president and acting in the president's place when he is
absent or unable to complete his duties. It is also his goal to learn
the president's responsibilities and take notes for his position for the
following semester. He also plans and runs the ice breaker that takes
place for all members every semester.
VP OF PLANNING:
Nicole Anderson
The VP of Planning plans and coordinates the
spring banquet and fall casino night. She also plans all community
service activities. This includes running the free tutoring program that
the chapter officers to all accounting students.
VP OF COMMUNICATIONS:
Charlie Atalig
The VP of Communications is responsible for
running the website and creating the spring and fall directories. He
must edit all profile entries for consistency and coordinate the
printing and disbursement of the directory to professionals. The VP of
Communications must also maintain all updates to the website and send
weekly announcements to the chapter.
VP OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Bob Thomas
The VP of Professional Development maintains
contact with all professionals in order to schedule speakers for the
weekly meetings. He is also responsible for bringing the refreshments to
these meetings.
VP OF REPORTING:
Lucy Taplin
The reporter must record attendance at all
activities and make those records available to the members. She must also
report attendance to professional and service activities to the national
chapter. The VP of Reporting also takes minutes at each business meeting
of the chapter.
VP OF MEMBERSHIP:
Shawna Nelson
The VP of Membership plans all recruiting
activities. This includes updating the chapter's brochure, flyers, and
postings. She coordinates classroom visits to inform students about the
chapter. The VP of Membership also plans the mandatory social event that
takes place every semester and compiles the information from members'
anonymous evaluations.
THE PRESIDENT:
Anthony Mosca
The president leads the chapter to excellence. He
is responsible for the duties of the other officers and to follow the
national and chapter bylaws. The president also leads the executive and
chapter meetings every week. This elected position lasts for two
consecutive semesters. The officer begins the first semester as the
president-elect to learn the responsibilities and becomes president for
the following semester.

The officers of Beta Alpha Psi are the people who work hard behind the
scenes to keep the chapter running smoothly. They are here to help YOU, so if
you have any questions or are interested in becoming an officer, feel free
to contact any of them. Remember, it's never too early to start your election
campaign!
THE TREASURER: Jimi
Karou
The treasurer maintains the chapter's financial
records through the use of Quickbooks and financial statements. He
reports the financial status of the chapter to the members. He also
plans all fundraising activities for the chapter.
